Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 PM on June 9, according to sources. The event, initially planned for June 8, was rescheduled to accommodate the availability of international dignitaries and ensure optimal security measures.
The ceremony will witness the attendance of prominent world leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The event is expected to draw over 8,000 dignitaries.

Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs have confirmed the attendance of Maldives President Mohammad Muizzu, Vice President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and the head of state of Mauritius. These distinguished guests will be accommodated in four luxury hotels: Taj Palace, The Oberoi, The Leela Palace, and ITC Maurya .
Security arrangements have been meticulously planned, not just for the ceremony but also for bilateral meetings expected to take place the following day. After these meetings, the international guests are anticipated to depart. A source mentioned, “We have been informed that all newly elected MPs will attend the ceremony with their spouses and three guests each. To ensure seamless coordination, we are planning to organize a rehearsal before the event.”
