    Call to Shut Down Government-Funded Madrasas: In October 2020, Bhatkhalkar wrote a letter to Uddhav Thackeray, urging him to shut down state-funded madrasas. He challenged Thackeray to prove his “Hindutva credentials” by taking this action.
