    Early Life and Education

    Dattatray Vithoba Bharane was born on June 1, 1968, in Bharanewadi, Taluka Indapur, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling at Narayandas Ramdas High School, Indapur, and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from TC College, Baramati.

    Political Career

    DattatrayBharane’s political journey began in 1992 when he was elected as the Director of Shri Chhatrapati Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana. He later served as the Director of Pune District Central Cooperative Bank (PDCC) in 1996 and was elected as its President from 2001 to 2002. He also held the position of President of Shri Chhatrapati Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana from 2002 to 2007.

    In 2009, Bharane contested the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Elections from the Indapur Constituency but lost by a narrow margin. He was elected as the President of Pune Zilla Parishad from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, he was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Indapur Constituency from NCP- Ajit Pawar faction and was re-elected in 2019.

    Ministerial Role

    In his political journey, Bharane has held various responsibilities, including significant contributions as a Minister of State for Public Works (Public Undertakings), Forests, and Social Welfare in the Maharashtra government. His portfolio showcases his versatility and dedication to improving infrastructure, environmental conservation, and social welfare in the state.

    Promises and Future Commitments:

    MLA Dattatray Bharane has secured a fund of ₹80 lakh for the development of Jodhpuri Baba Dargah in Indapur. This funding aims to enhance the infrastructure and facilities at the dargah, contributing to its overall development and improving accessibility for devotees and visitors.

    MLA Babir Rui has secured a fund of ₹1.53 crore for the restoration and beautification of the Shri Babir Bua Devasthanam temple premises in Indapur. This funding has transformed the area, enhancing the temple’s infrastructure and improving the experience for the lakhs of devotees who visit the site for worship.

    The Bhumi Pujan ceremony for the development of Veershree Malojiraje Bhosle’s Gadhi and Hazrat Chandshahvali Baba Dargah in Indapur was led by NCP President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Additionally, the Bhoomipujan for the Indapur city drainage system and the Shirsodi-Kugaon historical Ujani backwater bridge was also conducted.

    The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed forest park at Bharenwadi was completed in the presence of MLA Dattatray Bharane. This forest park is set to enhance tourism in the area.
