    Early Life and Education

    Jayshri Jadhav was born and raised in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. She pursued her education locally and has been actively involved in community activities from a young age.

    Political Career

    Jayshri Jadhav is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). She has been serving as an MLA from the Kolhapur North Assembly constituency since 2022. She is the first woman since independence to be elected as an MLA from Kolhapur. Her political journey began after the death of her husband, Chandrakant Jadhav, who was a local entrepreneur and had won the seat in the 2019 assembly elections.

    MLA Jayshri Jadhav recently announced the inauguration of road work in Kashid Colony, Ward No. 63, Samratnagar, Kolhapur city. The project was inaugurated by MLA Rituraj Patil, with Jadhav in attendance. A fund of ₹9 lakhs has been approved for this initiative from MLA Rituraj Patil’s local development fund, aiming to improve local infrastructure.

    MLA Jayashree Jadhav announced her commitment to enhance development efforts in the next five years during the launch of projects worth ₹54.45 lakhs funded by her local MLA fund in Ward No. 44 and 45, specifically at Bhairavanath Mandir Chowk. She expressed confidence in the Mahavikas Aghadi coalition regaining power and emphasized her dedication to fulfilling the development dreams of late MLA Chandrakant Jadhav, aiming for overall progress in Kolhapur​.

    MLA Jayashree Jadhav inaugurated the Water Purification Center at the Top Sambhapur Industrial Estate, marking the completion of the water scheme project. This development is expected to accelerate industrial construction and foster large-scale industries in the region. Additionally, she inspected the ongoing work on a 33/11 KV power substation in the same industrial estate and urged for its prompt completion​.
