    Major Achievements

One of Ailani’s significant achievements is his successful campaign for the approval of Rs 4 crore for the reconstruction of the dilapidated Gaushala bridge in Ulhasnagar. This bridge, which connects Ulhasnagar railway station and Unit 3, had become unsafe due to its age and frequent flooding during monsoons. Ailani’s persistent follow-ups with the state government resulted in the approval of funds for the bridge’s reconstruction, a crucial infrastructure project for the city.

His initiatives have often been centered around improving public facilities, addressing local issues, and ensuring that government policies are effectively implemented in his constituency.

    Controversy

Opposition to Bar and Restaurant License: In August 2024, residents of Punjabi Colony in Ulhasnagar opposed the State Excise Department’s decision to permit a bar and restaurant near their homes. They raised the issue with MLA Kumar Ailani, who instructed the Excise Department to either cancel the license or relocate the establishment to a commercial area. The residents argued that the bar would disrupt the peaceful atmosphere and pose a threat to safety, especially for women and children.
