    Early Life and Education

    Madhuri Satish Misal was born on January 17, 1975, in Bibwewadi, Pune, Maharashtra. She comes from a family with a strong background in the freedom struggle, being the granddaughter of freedom fighter Keshavrao Deshpande. Madhuri holds a B.Com. degree and has balanced her career between politics and social work.

    Political Career

    Madhuri Misal is a prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has served as an MLA from the Parvati Assembly constituency in Pune since 2009. She has been re-elected multiple times, a testament to her influence and popularity within her constituency. Before her role as an MLA, she was a corporator in the Pune Municipal Corporation, where she gained a deep understanding of urban governance and local issues.

    The Sinhgad Road flyover in Pune has been completed for two months but remains unopened, causing frustration among commuters. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) staged a protest, accusing local MLAs Bhimrao Tapkir and Madhuri Misal of delaying the inauguration for political gain. NCP leader Prashant Jagtap claimed the delay was to allow Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to inaugurate the flyover before the upcoming elections.
