Early Life and Education
Makrand Laxmanrao Jadhav Patil was born on October 29, 1965, in Wai, Satara district. He pursued his education at Mudhoji College, Phaltan, where he completed his higher secondy education.
Political Career
Makrand Jadhav represents the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was elected as an MLA from the Wai constituency, a region with a rich cultural and historical heritage. MLA Makrand secured ₹13.96 crores for the construction of a ‘Bachatgat Bhavan’ in Panchgani to support women’s self-help groups. The facility will provide sales centers, conference halls, and cafeterias, empowering thousands of women by offering a permanent market and boosting local economies.
During a meeting with Bhuinj Phulenagar villagers, MLA Shahajibapu promised to expedite the construction of the Mahatma Phule auditorium. The meeting included notable attendees such as Kshatriya Mali community president Uddhav Jaykar and other local leaders.
MLA Shahajibapu attended the Bhoomipujan ceremony for the Mahila Bachat Group Meeting Mandap in Mauje Kanhawadi. The construction of the Kanhawadi to Khanapur road has been approved, and the village will allocate ₹25 lakhs for a gym. Sumit Margaje was also present to celebrate his birthday.
MLA Shahajibapu secured ₹50 lakhs for constructing a protective wall at the Muslim community burial ground in Shirwal city, along with ₹15 lakhs for a social temple for the Bhoi community and ₹15 lakhs for the Kashi Kapdi community. The Bhoomipujan ceremonies for both temple projects were conducted recently.
