    Early Life and Education

    Nitesh Narayan Rane was born on June 23, 1982, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is the son of Narayan Rane, a senior politician and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Neelam Rane. Nitesh completed his post-graduate studies at Middlesex University in London in 2006.

    Political Career

    Nitesh Rane began his political career by founding Swabhiman Sanghatana, an NGO focused on addressing social issues like unemployment, infrastructure development, and healthcare. Though he was initially involved in activism, Nitesh officially entered the political fray in 2009 by supporting various public causes without running for office. He eventually contested and won the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly seat from the Kankavli constituency in 2014, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The remarks were deemed inflammatory, and two FIRs were registered against him for hate speech.     2. Violent Rhetoric (2023): Rane had previously stirred controversy by making threats against those opposing Hindutva ideology. His remarks often targeted religious minorities, leading to multiple complaints against him.

    MLA Nitesh Rane is actively working to enhance tourism in his constituency, Devgad, particularly in light of ‘World Tourism Day.’ He emphasizes that tourism can significantly contribute to economic growth by improving local infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and lighting.
