    Early Life and Education

    Vaibhav Vijay Naik was born on March 26, 1975, in Kankavli, Sindhudurg district. He completed his education at Kankavli College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006.

    Political Career

    Naik is a member of the Shiv Sena (now Shiv Sena-UBT) and has been an MLA from Kudal since 2014. He defeated BJP candidate and Union Minister Narayan Rane in a high-profile election that symbolized his rising influence in the party.     Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Vaibhav Naik and his supporters were booked for allegedly vandalizing the Public Works Department (PWD) office in Sindhudurg district, Maharashtra. The incident occurred after the collapse of a 35-foot statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort, which had been unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2023.
