    Dr. Prashant Yadaorao Padole was born on July 14, 1979. He pursued his education in medicine, graduating from Ukraine. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his career in public service and politics.

    Political Career:

    Dr. Padole began his political journey in 2005 when he contested for a position in the Bhandara District Dairy Union elections, serving as a director. His political career saw early challenges, such as contesting the 2014 Assembly elections from the Sakoli constituency on a Shiv Sena ticket, where he faced defeat and even lost his deposit. Despite this setback, his commitment to his region’s development never wavered.

    In 2024, Dr. Padole made a comeback as a candidate for the Indian National Congress (INC) in the Lok Sabha elections from the Bhandara-Gondiya constituency, a stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).     During a Congress protest against potholes on the national highway in Gondia district, MP Dr. Prashant Padole made headlines for threatening to “bury” officials if they failed to address the road issues. The protest, part of the ‘Jago Sarkar Jago’ movement, highlighted ongoing safety concerns due to a railway flyover project causing dangerous potholes. Padole sat on the railway tracks during the protest, prompting a strong reaction from the administration. After officials assured him they would repair the potholes within three days, the Congress withdrew the agitation.
