Praniti Sushilkumar Shinde was born on December 9, 1980, in Solapur, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of Sushilkumar Shinde, former Home Minister of India, and Ujwala Shinde. Praniti completed her schooling at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She then earned her law degree from Government Law College, Mumbai.

Praniti Shinde is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). She has held various significant positions throughout her political career:
Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha: Representing the Solapur constituency since June 2024.
Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly: Represented the Solapur City Central constituency from 2009 to 2024.
