In a shocking security breach, a pro-Khalistan extremist rushed towards External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar’s convoy in London and tore the Indian flag in front of police officers. The incident occurred outside Chatham House, where Jaishankar had just concluded a discussion.

A viral video shows the extremist aggressively running towards the minister’s car, taking advantage of the initial hesitation of the security personnel. Amid the chaos, the individual ripped the tricolour while others in his group chanted pro-Khalistan slogans from a distance. The UK police, after a brief delay, intervened and took the protester and other extremists away.

The attack came as a group of pro-Khalistan extremists attempted to disrupt Jaishankar’s visit, protesting outside the Chatham House venue. Videos shared by ANI show them waving Khalistani flags and raising slogans against India.

Jaishankar is currently on an official visit to the UK from March 4 to March 9. During his trip, he held discussions with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy at Chevening House, covering key issues such as strategic coordination, trade, education, technology, mobility, and people-to-people exchanges.
