Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Vadodara on Monday turned emotional for many, but for one family, it became a deeply personal and unforgettable moment. Among the cheering crowds lining the streets stood Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s twin sister, Shyna Sunsara, who shared a heartfelt account of what she described as a symbolic and powerful gesture by the Prime Minister.
Recalling the moment, Shyna said, "When PM Modi was crossing us, he bowed down and we also did the same. It was a very different moment. I cannot express it in words. It felt as if he was giving a message to the world that we are standing with you all, and no one needs to be scared..."
The roadshow was part of PM Modi’s two-day visit to Gujarat, during which he launched and inaugurated development projects worth over ₹77,000 crore. In Vadodara, thousands gathered to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister as his convoy slowly moved through the enthusiastic crowds waving the national flag.
But for Shyna and her family, it wasn’t just about seeing a national leader up close. “That gesture by the PM—it wasn’t routine,” she added. “It carried weight. It felt like a salute to every citizen, every soldier, every woman who stands tall for this country.”
