Air India has successfully completed precautionary inspections of the Fuel Control Switch (FCS) locking mechanism across all Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 aircraft in its fleet. The airline confirmed that no abnormalities or safety concerns were found during the inspections.
The voluntary checks began on July 12 and were conducted in response to global safety advisories surrounding FCS components on certain Boeing aircraft. Air India stated that the inspections were completed well within the timeframe mandated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
