Panic gripped Gujarat's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday after an Air India flight bound for London crashed during take-off. The incident occurred during routine operations on the tarmac, triggering a massive emergency response.
According to preliminary information, a total of 242 passengers were onboard at the time of the crash, several of whom are feared to be injured. Emergency teams responded swiftly, with the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services Department deploying over five fire-fighting vehicles to the site.
Authorities reported that fire tenders were rushed to the scene, and response teams are actively engaged in rescue and damage control efforts.
