Caretaker Chief Minister Atishi of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has called out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its contradictory stance on governance in the capital. Responding to ongoing issues like power cuts and the arrival of machinery in the Yamuna, Atishi questioned the BJP’s clarity on who is actually running the government.
"I want to ask the BJP to decide whether they are running the government or not. When there are power cuts, the BJP people say that Atishi is the caretaker CM, she is responsible for this. But when the machine comes to Yamuna, they say that the BJP and LG are running the government. They should decide whether they are running the government or not," Atishi remarked, addressing the media in Delhi.

The remarks come amid growing concerns over the state of infrastructure and power distribution in the city. Atishi’s statement underscores the political tension between the AAP-led Delhi government and the BJP, which has been critical of the current administration. The political back-and-forth regarding accountability and control over Delhi’s functioning continues to be a major topic of debate as Delhi faces challenges related to governance and public services.
