Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has launched a sharp attack on the ruling NDA, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his allies of trying to “instill fear” among voters instead of addressing real issues. Speaking to supporters during his ongoing Jan Suraaj campaign, Kishor said that Bihar is witnessing a historic shift in public sentiment, and no political pundit can accurately predict what’s coming next.
“These self-proclaimed analysts are claiming they know what's going to happen in Bihar,” Kishor said. “But no one predicted that Bihar would have the highest voter turnout in the country's political history. The sheer number of people coming out to vote shows that change is definitely coming in Bihar,” he added.
The political strategist-turned-reformer accused the Prime Minister of resorting to scare tactics by invoking the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). “The PM is trying to get votes by instilling fear of the RJD because he has nothing else to say,” Kishor remarked.
Taking a direct dig at the NDA’s “Jungle Raj” narrative, he questioned, “If you're saying Jungle Raj shouldn't return, then why should you (NDA)? What have you done differently?”
Positioning his movement as a credible alternative, Kishor emphasized that Jan Suraaj represents the hope of a new Bihar — one that moves beyond fear-based politics and delivers governance based on accountability, opportunity, and people’s participation. “Jan Suraaj is a new alternative,” he declared confidently.
