Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Friday delivered a powerful message of solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the aftermath of the brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. Addressing a public event alongside PM Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Kalyan called the incident “the darkest day for the entire nation.”

"Blood was spilled in Kashmir, sending shockwaves across the country. I have seen and felt the pain of the victims," Kalyan said, while applauding the Prime Minister’s efforts to seek justice for those who lost their lives. He praised Modi as a leader who is “carrying the nation’s burdens” during turbulent times.

Echoing this sentiment, CM Chandrababu Naidu extended his complete support to the Prime Minister, saying, “We are with you, whole Andhra is with you, the entire country is with you.” Naidu recounted his recent visit to Delhi to invite PM Modi for the Amaravati capital programme, noting how visibly affected the Prime Minister was by the Pahalgam attack.

"Usually our meetings are light-hearted, but that day I saw the pain in his face. It was clear the tragedy had weighed heavily on him," Naidu remarked, underscoring Modi's deep personal involvement in matters of national security.

The show of support came during Modi's visit to Andhra Pradesh, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth nearly ₹58,000 crore. The large-scale event served as both a political statement and a symbolic relaunch of Amaravati as the people’s capital.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan, along with Governor Abdul Nazeer and CM Naidu, welcomed the Prime Minister at the Amaravati helipad. Hours before Modi’s arrival, Naidu took to social media, posting: “Today is a proud and important day for the people of Andhra Pradesh. I warmly welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to Amaravati as he arrives to restart the development of our people’s capital.”

Naidu added, “Amaravati stands as a symbol of our shared hopes and dreams. This restart marks a new chapter of growth for our state.”
