The Centre has ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in the renovation of 6 Flagstaff Bungalow, the former official residence of ex-Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The probe was initiated on February 13 after the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) submitted a factual report on the matter, NDTV reported.
According to officials, the Centre has now directed the CPWD to conduct a detailed inquiry into the allegations. The controversy revolves around accusations of excessive spending and procedural violations in the renovation of the lavish government property.
