In the wake of recent flooding, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi conducted an extensive inspection of Vadodara city last night, focusing on the municipality's cleaning and relief efforts. The minister toured various affected areas to assess the work undertaken by local teams and ensure that flood relief operations were proceeding effectively.
During his visit, Sanghavi engaged with sanitation workers and held a meeting with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) staff. His tour aimed to evaluate the condition of the flood-affected areas and the municipality's response to the crisis.
Speaking about the situation, Sanghavi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of both the corporators and the sanitation staff. "Today we inspected the area and also met with the people affected by the flood. I am thankful to the corporators and the cleaning staff for their hard work," he said.
Sanghavi praised the commitment of the corporators, noting their ambition to make Vadodara the top city not just in Gujarat, but in the entire country. "I think the corporators have decided how to make Vadodara number 1, not just in Gujarat but in the country. This stubbornness should be there in corporators. This enthusiasm is seen in them. I have seen this stubbornness in all corporators in two days," he added.
The Home Minister also extended his thanks to the sanitation workers, acknowledging their crucial role in the flood relief efforts. "I want to thank all the sanitation workers also who have done amazing work," Sanghavi stated.
The inspection comes as part of ongoing efforts to address the impact of the flooding and to support affected residents. The VMC continues to work on cleaning and rehabilitation projects across the city, with a focus on restoring normalcy and ensuring the well-being of Vadodara?s residents.
