Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that a “new India” has emerged—one that responds to terror not with silence but with strength. Speaking at the NDTV World Summit, PM Modi said India now delivers firm and decisive responses through air strikes, surgical strikes, and Operation Sindoor, underscoring that the country’s security strategy has evolved to match its global ambitions.

“From being among the ‘Fragile Five’ to now standing proudly as a top-five economy, India has overcome crisis after crisis,” Modi said, highlighting his government’s economic achievements over the last 11 years. “With inflation below 2 per cent and growth above 7 per cent, India today is self-reliant—from small businesses to large industries, we are filled with confidence,” he added.

The Prime Minister contrasted his administration’s conviction-driven reforms with those of earlier governments, which he said acted out of compulsion. “Earlier, reforms were made under pressure. We turned every risk into reform, every reform into resilience, and every resilience into a revolution,” Modi asserted.

Emphasizing India’s global credibility, Modi said that even when wars and conflicts dominated headlines around the world, India continued to power ahead as the fastest-growing major economy. “India is not in a mood to stop. As the world faces new roadblocks, it is natural to talk about an Unstoppable India. We will neither pause nor slow down. 140 crore Indians will move forward together, with full momentum,” he said.

The Prime Minister also took a veiled swipe at the previous Congress-led governments, blaming the nationalisation of banks for the creation of a “mountain of non-performing assets.” He credited the democratisation of institutions and the digital financial revolution as key drivers behind India’s economic transformation.

“People are India’s biggest strength, and they perform best when freed from unnecessary government interference,” Modi stated. “India has proved the world wrong on digital financial infrastructure. Today, the world sees us as a reliable, responsible, and resilient partner—a land of endless opportunities.”
