Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back at Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi after Gandhi accused the Election Commission (EC) of bias. Rijiju’s rebuttal was laced with sharp jibes and a call for Congress leaders to rein in their party chief.
“I don’t have any medicine that will help Rahul Gandhi improve,” Rijiju remarked, suggesting that Gandhi should “come to his senses after the Supreme Court’s comment”. The minister did not elaborate on which court observation he was referring to but hinted it was enough to disprove Gandhi’s allegations.
In a pointed swipe at the Congress party’s leadership, Rijiju said, “There are some smart people in Congress, too; not all of them are like Rahul Gandhi. They should come together and give some wisdom to Rahul Gandhi.”
