In the wake of the high-impact Operation Sindoor, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson and Member of Parliament, Dr. Sambit Patra, lauded the Indian Armed Forces and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in delivering a powerful counter-strike that, in his words, left Pakistan “stunned and shattered.”

“Today, the BJP, its party workers and the citizens of the country thank the Security Forces because of whom the Operation Sindoor has been successful,” Patra said, addressing the media on Monday. His remarks came days after India launched coordinated strikes on terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack.

Recounting the national grief that followed the April 22 attack, which killed 26 civilians including tourists, Patra said there was a “wave of rage and a demand for swift justice” across the country. “From April 22 to May 7, there was an atmosphere of tension in the country. People wanted action, and Pakistan had no clue when it would be struck. That was the precision of our leadership and our forces,” he said.

He credited Prime Minister Modi’s resolve for the ferocity of the retaliation. “The PM had promised that the revenge would be beyond the enemy’s imagination, and so it was. He had said ‘mitti mein milayenge’ and ‘ghus ke maarenge’ — and that is exactly what we did,” said Patra, echoing the PM’s earlier statements. “PM Modi’s decision and the bravery of our Armed Forces ensured terror sites are reduced to rubble.”

Operation Sindoor, executed on May 7, reportedly targeted nine high-value terror sites deep inside hostile territory. The operation was shrouded in secrecy and executed with such speed and precision that it caught Pakistan’s military establishment off guard, according to Indian officials.

Patra emphasized that the action was not only a military success but also a message to the global community. “Despite past surgical strikes, Pakistan couldn’t predict this retaliation. It shows how India now operates — silent, swift, and strong,” he said.
