The Mumbai Crime Branch has officially launched the extradition process for Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is sought in the firing incident at actor Salman Khan?s residence and several other criminal cases across India, sources from India Today report. According to Mumbai Police sources, U.S. authorities have confirmed Bishnoi's presence in the United States, setting the stage for a significant step toward his extradition.

The Crime Branch recently informed the Mumbai Sessions Court about Bishnoi's case, and the file is expected to be sent to the Central government for further coordination. In addition, Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) to facilitate his international search and apprehension, adding global support to the ongoing manhunt.

Anmol Bishnoi, linked to over 17 criminal cases in India, is accused alongside his brother Lawrence Bishnoi and accomplice Goldie Brar in the firing incident involving Salman Khan. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently escalated the search for Bishnoi by placing him on its most-wanted list and offering a ?10 lakh reward for information leading to his capture.

Additionally, Bishnoi is implicated in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, where he allegedly supplied the imported firearms used in the attack, including a Turkish-made Tisas pistol and a Glock handgun. These same weapons are believed to have been used in the killing of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique on October 12. Bishnoi allegedly remained in touch with the assailants via Snapchat, operating remotely from Canada and the U.S., according to police reports.

The investigation into Siddique's murder has already led to the arrest of ten individuals, including two suspected shooters and an arms supplier. Siddique, 66, was killed while celebrating Dussehra, and authorities claim that Anmol Bishnoi was directly involved in coordinating with the perpetrators. The police have highlighted Bishnoi?s continued involvement in organized criminal activities and suspect him to be part of an extended conspiracy.

As the extradition case moves forward, Indian authorities are intensifying efforts to bring Bishnoi back to India, signaling a tightening of the net around the alleged network orchestrating high-profile crimes from abroad.
