In the wake of the Lok Sabha Election Result 2024, where eight members of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) were elected, Maharashtra is now gearing up for its Assembly Elections. Sharad Pawar, the NCP President, has confidently predicted a sweeping victory for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, claiming they will secure 225 out of the 288 seats.
Speaking at the YB Chavan Center in Mumbai, Pawar expressed his optimism about the upcoming elections, highlighting the strong support for the NCP and the MVA. "Maharashtra is currently in the hands of the wrong people," Pawar stated. "But with a vision to change this, voters made their voices heard in the Lok Sabha elections. This is just the beginning. We expect a significant shift in Maharashtra's political landscape."
Pawar's confidence stems from the recent Lok Sabha elections, where the NCP made notable gains. "By electing 31 out of 48 seats, a new chapter was written," Pawar noted. "The success of our eight NCP members is just the start. We are aiming for more than 225 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections."

The NCP leader emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving this goal. He called upon party activists to strengthen the NCP and work towards transforming Maharashtra. "Activists come to us to bring about change, to strengthen the NCP. This is a positive sign," he said. "We need to continue this momentum, work hard, and ensure that we bring about the change that the people of Maharashtra are looking for."
Pawar's speech also touched upon the broader vision for Maharashtra, urging the creation of a powerful and prosperous state. "Let's work hard, give power to the people, and bring about change in their lives," he encouraged. "Let's create a strong and dynamic Maharashtra, a state that is a leader in the country, whether in entrepreneurship or business."
