Nayab Singh Saini was officially sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time on Thursday, in a grand ceremony held at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula. The event was graced by prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other senior officials from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Saini, a prominent leader from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community, previously replaced Manohar Lal Khattar earlier this year. His swearing-in comes on the auspicious occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, during which Saini paid his respects by offering prayers at the Valmiki Temple in Panchkula before the ceremony.
The event attracted an impressive crowd of around 50,000 attendees, necessitating extensive security measures, including 14 LED screens for the public to witness the proceedings. Among those in attendance were opposition leaders, farmers, ?Lakhpati Didis?, and representatives from various social organizations, reflecting the diverse support for Saini?s leadership.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, a crucial meeting is scheduled for chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This gathering aims to discuss key national development issues and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Emergency in India. The conclave serves as a strategic platform for the ruling coalition to plan for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, underscoring the BJP's commitment to addressing significant political challenges ahead.
With this new mandate, Saini is poised to continue his leadership journey, addressing the concerns of Haryana's diverse populace while strengthening the party's foothold in the state.
