Bihar is gearing up for a major political transition as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to submit his resignation today, marking the formal end of the outgoing administration. According to official communication from the cabinet secretariat, Kumar will chair his final cabinet meeting at 11:30 am, after which he will step down to pave the way for the formation of the new government.
During the meeting, the council of ministers is likely to pass a key resolution empowering Nitish Kumar to approach the Governor with a proposal to dissolve the current assembly. A senior JDU leader confirmed that the move is purely procedural and will clear the path for the next coalition to take charge.
