Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of distorting historical facts related to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's electoral defeat.
Reacting to recent remarks made by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Prakash Ambedkar said, “RSS, BJP, and Jan Sangh were also involved (referring to B. R. Ambedkar's electoral defeat). He should not use PM office to spread half-truths.”
Ambedkar’s comments come in the wake of PM Modi's statement that Congress was responsible for Ambedkar’s defeat in the 1952 and 1954 elections, during which he positioned the BJP as the true torchbearer of Ambedkar’s legacy.
