Speaking at the Bharat Summit, Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi took a sharp dig at the ruling party, accusing them of having lost touch with the people.

"Our opposition really does not know how to listen because they already have all the answers. They know exactly what is supposed to be done," Rahul Gandhi said, stressing that the arrogance of knowing it all is harming governance.

He further highlighted that politicians, despite having access to social media and advanced communication tools, are still failing to truly understand the voice of the people. "If there is one thing that we have failed at with all the social media and all the modern communication methods, it is that we have as politicians failed to deeply listen to what our people are trying to tell us," Gandhi pointed out.

Drawing a clear contrast with his political rivals, he remarked, "This is the space where we can really operate because our opponents have completely vacated this space, they're not there, they don't exist there."

Gandhi’s comments come at a time when the Congress is attempting to position itself as a more people-centric alternative ahead of upcoming elections. His speech at the Bharat Summit is being seen as a strategic move to underline the Congress party’s focus on reconnecting with the grassroots and rebuilding trust with the electorate.
