Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday praised the public response to the India Bloc’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, claiming that people are becoming increasingly aware of alleged attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
Speaking to reporters, Gandhi said, “The response is very good. Everyone is now saying ‘vote chori’ in Bihar. This is reality. Attempts of ‘election chori’ are being made. Bihar is resisting. The entire country will resist.”
The remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the Congress and allied parties to highlight voter disenfranchisement and raise awareness about alleged irregularities in the voter rolls ahead of the upcoming state elections. Gandhi’s party has been touring districts in Bihar, meeting voters, and stressing the importance of protecting electoral rights.
