BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday strongly condemned the actions of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, calling them unprecedented in independent India. Speaking to the media, Prasad said, “What happened in Bengal yesterday has never happened before in independent India. The entire action of the CM Mamata Banerjee is not only unethical, irresponsible, and unconstitutional, but she has put the entire democratic process to shame.”
Prasad’s remarks come in the wake of Mamata Banerjee filing an FIR against the Enforcement Directorate (ED), a move that has stirred nationwide political debate. He criticized the Chief Minister for allegedly undermining democratic norms and questioned the ethical and constitutional basis of her decision.
