Amid rising political pressure on the Centre following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has backed the Opposition's demand for a special session of Parliament to discuss the incident. He also launched a scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP-led government at the Centre over issues ranging from law and order to unemployment and inflation.
"It would be good if a special session was called, as there would be a discussion held on the incident," Tejashwi said, supporting the Opposition's call to address national security concerns in the wake of the attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region.
The former Deputy Chief Minister didn't hold back in criticising the Bihar administration and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. "The CM has become tired. The people of Bihar want to get rid of him now. Crimes are increasing in the state; no work is being done. There is corruption, unemployment and inflation," he alleged.
Targeting the Centre, Tejashwi accused the Modi government of neglecting Bihar's core issues. "Any Central minister visiting the state does not discuss education, inflation or unemployment. PM Modi will have to give an answer about the stepmotherly treatment given to Bihar," he said.
