'The Entire Country Has Seen Their Childishness': PM Modi Slams Rahul Gandhi, Briefs MPs On Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday delivered a detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor, India’s military action targeting terror outfits in Pakistan, to members of the NDA Parliamentary Party. The address came after an intense debate on the operation during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, initiated at the insistence of the Opposition.

In a strong rebuttal, Prime Minister Modi suggested that the Opposition may now regret their demand for the discussion. Taking aim at critics, he said:

“We want them to demand more such debates and we will gladly accept them. The entire country is witnessing their behaviour. Why should we stop them?”

He accused the Opposition of harming its own credibility by questioning the military operation, indicating that such debates only expose their immaturity to the public.

In a veiled yet sharp attack on Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Modi referred to the Supreme Court’s recent censure:

“He keeps saying anything. He often acts childishly and even the Supreme Court has reprimanded him. The entire country has seen their childishness.”

The Prime Minister also praised Home Minister Amit Shah, applauding his tenure:

He noted that Shah is now “the longest serving Union Home Minister.”
