The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially announced the dates for the much-anticipated re-examination for the Police Constable Recruitment. Following the cancellation of the initial exam due to a paper leak, candidates are now preparing for the UP Police Bharti 2024 re-exam, which will be conducted over several days in August.
The re-exam is set to take place on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024. The exams will be held in two shifts each day across the state, accommodating around 5 lakh candidates per shift. The schedule has been adjusted to account for the Janmashtami festival, ensuring that the exam process aligns with the cultural calendar.

The previous attempt at conducting the UP Police 2024 exam on February 17 and 18 was marred by paper leaks, leading to its cancellation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intervened, ordering the exam to be rescheduled within six months to maintain transparency and uphold the integrity of the recruitment process. Adityanath emphasized that there would be no compromise on the sanctity of the exams.
The February 2024 examination saw an impressive turnout with over 48 lakh aspirants, including approximately 16 lakh women, participating across 2,835 centers in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Given the high stakes, the UPPRPB is committed to ensuring a smooth and secure re-examination process.
To assist candidates, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will provide free bus services. Aspirants can utilize this facility by downloading two additional copies of their admit card. One copy should be presented to the bus conductor for travel to the exam district, and the other for the return journey.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 60,244 vacancies for the position of Constable Civil Police. The selection process includes a written exam, physical test, document verification, and a medical exam. Candidates who pass the written exam will advance to the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
