Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal on Monday launched a sharp attack on the opposition, asserting that the Mahagathbandhan of the INDIA bloc has “run out of issues” and will resort to “jumlebazi” for a week to stay politically relevant. Speaking to ANI in Patna, Jaiswal said, “The Mahagathbandhan of the INDIA alliance will do 'jumlebazi' for one week as they do not have any other issue. Now the voters won't fall for Rahul Gandhi’s and Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘jumlebazi’. The public has made it clear that the NDA will form the government.”
Extending his greetings on the occasion of Chhath Puja, Jaiswal added, “I extend my greetings on Chhath Puja. I will pray to Chhathi Maiya for Bihar’s development and for the dream of a Viksit Bihar to be fulfilled.”
His remarks come amid heightened political activity in Bihar as parties intensify their campaigns ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
Earlier, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the PM’s visit to poll-bound Bihar was “an attempt to cheat the people.” “Everyone knows that he (PM Modi) is coming to cheat Bihar,” Tejashwi said while speaking to reporters in Patna.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also questioned the Centre’s allocation of funds to Bihar, demanding transparency in development spending. “All we want to know from the Prime Minister is what you gave to Gujarat in 11 years and what you gave to Bihar — just show the accounts, that’s all we need,” he said.
