Delhi Assembly and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Atishi launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led government, questioning its reluctance to allow a detailed discussion on the state budget. Speaking to the media, Atishi expressed concerns over the limited time allocated for budget deliberations in the assembly session.
"The budget session is meant to present the budget and hold discussions on it. However, when the list of business for today was released yesterday, only one hour was allotted for the discussion. I want to ask the BJP—what are you hiding? Why don't you want a discussion on the budget?" Atishi said.

Accusing the ruling party of avoiding scrutiny, she further stated, "This clearly shows that something is wrong. I have written to Speaker Vijender Gupta, demanding at least two days for budget discussions."
Atishi's remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Delhi, where the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has repeatedly accused the BJP of undermining transparency in governance.
