Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sanjay Jaiswal on Wednesday lashed out at Congress leader and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi over his controversial "Narendra, surrender" jibe aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the Congress MP of repeatedly indulging in anti-national rhetoric.

Responding strongly to Gandhi’s remarks, Jaiswal said, "Rahul Gandhi greatly enjoys making anti-national statements. As for the claim that Pakistan called the BJP and the Prime Minister, yes, Pakistan had been calling since morning, but we did not take the call. Only after we destroyed all their air bases did any conversation happen."

Gandhi had earlier alleged that PM Modi "surrendered" to pressure from former U.S. President Donald Trump and insinuated that India halted Operation Sindoor due to foreign intervention. His comments have triggered a political firestorm, drawing condemnation from BJP leaders who accuse him of undermining national security and the Indian Army’s achievements.

Jaiswal also questioned Gandhi’s credibility and understanding of international affairs, saying, "Rahul Gandhi has a habit of making anti-national remarks. He should have first sought the opinion of Congress MPs who were part of the delegation that went abroad..."
