Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, blaming his policies for rising unemployment and inflation in the country.
Speaking at a public gathering, Gandhi said, “There are two big issues before the country—unemployment and inflation. We do not want an India where a farmer’s son cannot secure employment even after paying lakhs to private universities.”
He alleged that the Modi government’s decisions, including demonetization and the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), have severely harmed small businesses. “PM Modi destroyed small businessmen through demonetization and GST. This policy was a partnership between him and people like Adani and Ambani,” he claimed.
Referring to the struggles of Uttar Pradesh’s youth, Gandhi pointed out that they are forced to migrate to states like Telangana and Karnataka for work. “The youth of UP cannot get jobs here, but they can work as laborers in Telangana or Karnataka,” he said, criticizing the BJP government’s economic policies.
