In a scathing attack on BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has demanded strict action against him following his controversial remarks. Raut called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take a stand on women’s respect and ensure Bidhuri’s exclusion from the upcoming elections.
Raut, commenting on Bidhuri’s remarks, expressed, “In politics, people criticize each other, but Delhi’s Vidhan Sabha has become an arena of chaos. The BJP has become desperate in Delhi, and there’s no control over their words. If Prime Minister Modi truly respects women, Ramesh Bidhuri should be kept out of the elections. Only then will we believe that the Prime Minister is cultured.”
The remarks come after Bidhuri was embroiled in controversy over his statements, which were condemned by political leaders from various parties. Raut’s call for his exclusion highlights the growing tensions surrounding the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections in 2025.
Raut Takes on Sanjay Gaikwad’s Comments
Raut did not spare another controversial figure, Sanjay Gaikwad of the Shinde faction, whose recent remarks were branded “dirty” by Raut. He accused Gaikwad of disrespecting the voters of Maharashtra and insulting sex workers.
On the Maha Kumbh Mela & Waqf Land
Raut also addressed ongoing debates about the Maha Kumbh Mela and Waqf land, making it clear that, “This country, India, belongs to everyone. The Kumbh Mela has been held for years and will continue. The land does not belong to anyone’s father.”
BJP’s Abhishek Dutt Reacts to Bidhuri’s Remarks
In a parallel development, Congress leader Abhishek Dutt also condemned Bidhuri’s remarks. Dutt, the Congress candidate from Kasturba Nagar Assembly constituency, stated, “We all know the comments Bidhuri makes. The people don’t need leaders like this who make such comments.”
Dutt also echoed criticism of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling him a “scammer,” while simultaneously agreeing that Bidhuri’s comments were inappropriate and unacceptable.
Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: BJP’s Last-Minute Election Tactics
With the Delhi Assembly elections expected to be held in February 2025, Raut has raised concerns about BJP’s electoral strategies. He accused the party of launching large-scale projects just before elections as a habitual tactic to sway voters.
“It is their (BJP’s) habit. They launch such projects worth thousands of crores before the elections. It was done in Maharashtra as well. They do not do anything for 5 years and before the announcement of the election date, they want to do everything. They again go silent for the next 5 years. The people of Delhi are with Kejriwal,” Raut stated, reiterating his confidence that Arvind Kejriwal will continue to have the support of the people of Delhi.
