Terrorists targeted an Indian Army patrol vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday afternoon, opening fire near Phall village along the Sunderbani-Malla Road.
The attack occurred around 1 PM when the vehicle, belonging to the 9 JAK Rifles, was patrolling the forested area close to the Line of Control (LoC), a known infiltration corridor for militants. Officials reported that one or two rounds were fired at the Army convoy but confirmed that no casualties have been reported.
“At 1300 hours, an Army vehicle was fired upon near a water tank in the Phall forest area on Sunderbani-Malla Road,” an official source stated to HT.
In response, security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, with additional reinforcements deployed to track down the attackers. The Army remains on high alert as efforts intensify to neutralize any potential threats.
