The fallout from the Bihar election results has triggered an unprecedented public implosion within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family. Lalu's daughter, Rohini Acharya, who once symbolized loyalty by donating a kidney to her father, has officially quit politics and disowned her family, citing alleged humiliation and abuse from within.
The controversy reached a fever pitch with a video shared on social media, where Rohini is heard tearfully confronting a journalist. She launched a devastating public attack on her brother, Tejashwi Yadav, the party's presumed heir, by accusing him of avoiding responsibility when it mattered most: "Jab kidney dene ki bari aai, toh beta bhag gaya"
Rohini's posts further alleged that she was insulted by family associates for donating a "dirty kidney" and accused of seeking money and a political ticket in return—claims that sources indicate have been vehemently denied by her.
Taking a direct dig at critics and political figures close to Tejashwi, Rohini questioned their moral authority and self-proclaimed heroism.
She wrote, "Those who can't even donate a bottle of blood are giving lessons on kidney donations," highlighting the perceived hypocrisy of those passing judgment without real contribution to social causes.
