Kapil Mishra lashed out at AIMIM and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing them of endorsing individuals with questionable backgrounds. "No, this should not have happened. It's wrong. They have fielded a killer," Mishra stated, referring to the charges against Hussain.

Mishra emphasized that his party?s campaign focuses on development issues such as electricity, water, and roads. However, he accused AIMIM of provoking public sentiment by fielding candidates like Tahir Hussain. "If someone adds salt to our wounds and fields killers like Tahir Hussain, the AAP has given a ticket to those protecting him. If such people are fielded, we, the people of Delhi, will not tolerate it and will respond with anger in the form of votes," Mishra said.

Tahir Hussain, a former AAP councilor, has been accused of involvement in the 2020 Delhi riots and is facing legal proceedings. AIMIM?s decision to field him has raised questions about the party?s candidate selection process and triggered a political debate.
