The bodies of two Kolkata men, Bitan Adhikari and Sameer Guha, who were killed in the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on Tuesday, April 22, were flown back to Kolkata on Wednesday evening, April 23. The victims' remains arrived at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport after being transported from Delhi.

Leader of Opposition and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shubhendu Adhikari, who was present at the airport, shared a deeply emotional video depicting the distraught family members of the victims as they recalled the terrifying incident.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Adhikari expressed his sorrow, stating, "I met their grieving families and tried to express my condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of great grief. I was shocked to hear the horror of the incident, that the terrorists killed the tourists so brutally only because they were Hindus."

He added, "The memory of our Hindu brothers who tragically lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday will remain etched in our hearts with utmost respect and solemnity. I firmly believe that the Government of India will take the harshest revenge for this heinous and hellish incident."

In the heartbreaking video, a woman recounts the terrifying events she witnessed. She tells Adhikari, "They asked me if I was Muslim, if I could recite the Kalma, I said no, and they killed him (husband). They killed his (son's) father right in front of his eyes."

In response, the BJP MLA assured the grieving family, stating, "They will kill Hindus in Hindustan? Just like Israel finished Gaza, we will also put an end to this menace. We are Modi's pupils. Don't worry, I'll take care of your kid. I'll help you in whatever way I can. We will see an end to this."

Also present at the airport to pay their respects were Senior West Bengal Ministers Arup Biswas and Firhad Hakim, as well as BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul.

The terror attack took place at the Baisaran meadow, a popular tourist destination near Pahalgam, where gunmen opened fire on civilians. The attack tragically claimed the lives of 26 people and left several others injured.
