'This Will Be NDA’s Last Session': Congress Leader Alka Lamba Slams Bihar Govt Over Dalit Atrocities, Predicts INDI Alliance Return

All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba has launched a fierce attack on the NDA government in Bihar, calling the current administration "indifferent to injustice" and predicting its downfall in the upcoming Assembly session in July. She asserted that the INDI Alliance is ready to return to power, promising justice and dignity for the state's most marginalized communities.

“There is a strong unrest in Bihar. The upcoming Assembly session in July will be the last for the NDA government, and the INDI Alliance will make a comeback,” said Lamba during her visit to Patna, striking a confident tone about her party’s electoral prospects.

Lamba’s statement was backed by searing criticism of the government’s handling of crimes against Dalits and the poor. “Today, injustices and atrocities persist — cases of rape of minor Dalit girls are going unheard, and a 9-year-old Dalit girl died due to lack of timely treatment outside a Patna hospital,” she said, referring to a recent tragic incident that has sparked public outrage and renewed debates over the state's healthcare and justice system.

She blamed the administration for being silent and complicit, claiming that “the voice of the oppressed is being silenced in Nitish Kumar’s Bihar.” The Congress leader said the government’s failure to respond to crimes against Dalits and women is symbolic of a deeper, structural neglect.

Lamba also connected the Patna hospital incident to larger failures in Bihar's welfare infrastructure. “A 9-year-old Dalit girl dying outside a hospital is not just a health crisis—it’s a moral one. How many more children have to die before the government takes responsibility?” she asked.

Declaring that the state has reached a breaking point, she stated, “This is not just about changing a government—it’s about changing the mindset that allows such atrocities to go unchecked.”

As Bihar approaches its next Assembly polls in 2025, Lamba's remarks are part of the Congress and INDI Alliance’s broader campaign strategy to highlight failures in governance, especially in healthcare, law and order, and social justice. She called on citizens, especially women and marginalized groups, to “wake up and vote for dignity, equality, and justice.”

With the July session of the Bihar Assembly around the corner, her comments have stirred political tension. While NDA leaders have called her remarks “political theatrics,” Lamba reiterated that the people of Bihar are watching and ready for change.

“This government has lost touch with the ground reality. The July session will be its last,” she concluded.
