Early Life and Education

Piyush Goyal was born on June 13, 1964, in Mumbai, into a politically active family. His father, Ved Prakash Goyal, served as the Union Minister for Shipping and the National Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for over two decades. His mother, Chandrakanta Goyal, was a three-time BJP MLA from Mumbai. Goyal has an outstanding academic background, having secured the second rank nationwide in the Chartered Accountant exams and the second rank in law from Mumbai University.

Political Career

Piyush Goyal has been an integral part of the BJP for over 35 years, holding various key positions within the party. He has served as the National Treasurer of the BJP and is a member of the BJP's National Executive. Goyal began his political career as a trusted aide to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holding crucial portfolios in the government since 2014. Currently he is Commerce & Industry Minister.
