UP Celebrates Bakrid: CM Yogi’s Call Ensures No Illegal Animal Sacrifice, No Road Namaz

Amidst national incidents of unrest during recent festivals, Uttar Pradesh contrastingly recorded over 800 processions without a single dispute during the last Ram Navami, reinforcing its status as a benchmark for law and order across the country.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s proactive measures and appeals to observe Eid-ul-Azha guidelines resulted in a peaceful and harmonious celebration across the state. On his urging, Muslim religious leaders rallied support, leading to prayers being conducted at Eidgahs and designated locations instead of on roads.

Bakrid prayers were offered at over 30,000 sites throughout Uttar Pradesh, with stringent security measures in place at approximately 3,000 sensitive locations. Drones monitored sensitive areas from above, while a visible police presence on the ground ensured public safety, bolstered by preemptive flag marches conducted by the police a day earlier.

CM Yogi’s directive to avoid road obstructions during Eid prayers received widespread compliance, supported by Muslim leaders endorsing his call. Consequently, prayers were organized in Eidgahs or other approved venues, even accommodating multiple shifts in areas with limited mosque or Eidgah capacity.

The state’s robust security arrangements and collaborative efforts between law enforcement and community leaders underscored CM Yogi’s commitment to social harmony and public safety. Uttar Pradesh, under his leadership, has maintained a commendable record of seven years without communal riots, showcasing a model of peaceful coexistence during major festivals and events.
