The Delhi Assembly witnessed intense political clashes as Speaker Vijender Gupta accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of deliberately disrupting sessions whenever Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports are tabled. He criticized the party for avoiding debates and resorting to ruckus instead of addressing critical financial matters.
"Whenever the CAG reports are tabled, the opposition creates a ruckus, leading to their removal from the House. It is not good to run away from discussions," Gupta said.
BJP MLA Ajay Mahawar echoed similar sentiments, stating that AAP was attempting to evade accountability on the CAG report and disrupt the Assembly proceedings.
"They want to run from the CAG report and make excuses. When the opposition questioned them, they disrupted the session and were rightly expelled from the House," Mahawar said.
Meanwhile, AAP Leader of Opposition Atishi led a protest against the BJP government over the Mahila Samridhi Yojana 2025, accusing it of failing to fulfill its election promise of crediting ₹2,500 into women's accounts by March 8.
"BJP leaders and PM Narendra Modi promised ₹2,500 to Delhi’s women, but they haven’t delivered. When we raised this question in the Assembly, all our MLAs were thrown out. This proves that BJP lied and misled the people of Delhi," Atishi said.
