Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp political attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) while addressing a large gathering of BJP workers at a Karyakarta Sammelan in West Bengal, accusing the ruling party of blocking development and misusing central funds meant for the poor.

Speaking directly to party workers and local residents, Shah questioned whether the massive financial support sent by the Centre had actually benefited ordinary people. He said the Narendra Modi-led government had invested heavily in West Bengal’s progress, including the introduction of new railway services and large-scale financial assistance running into lakhs of crores. However, he asked a pointed question: if so much money was sent, why were villages still struggling?

According to Shah, the funds meant for development never reached the grassroots. He alleged that the money was diverted by what he described as a “syndicate culture” linked to the ruling TMC. Reassuring the crowd, Shah promised that a BJP-led government in the state would bring a system where welfare money reaches the poor directly, without commissions or middlemen. He declared that corruption and “cut money” practices would be completely shut down.

The Home Minister also recalled the violence that allegedly took place during previous elections in the state. He claimed that several BJP workers lost their lives, many were injured, homes were attacked, and party supporters were jailed on false charges. Calling them martyrs, Shah urged BJP workers to remember their sacrifices and stay committed to the party’s symbol and ideology.

In an emotional appeal, Shah said that the BJP’s growth across India was inspired by the vision of Syama Prasad Mukherjee. He pointed out that the party is currently in power in 21 states but added that this achievement was still incomplete in his eyes. According to him, the real moment of pride would come when West Bengal becomes the next state to elect a BJP government.

Shah told party workers that winning Bengal would not just be a political victory but a tribute to those who suffered and sacrificed for the party. He urged them to dedicate themselves fully to the mission, stating that both BJP workers nationwide and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were focused on seeing a change in Bengal.
