As discussions around the Union Budget 2025 take center stage, Samajwadi Party chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav has raised concerns over the ongoing crisis at the Maha Kumbh, questioning the government’s response. Yadav criticized the administration for failing to provide clear data on the number of deceased and missing individuals.
He highlighted that while key leaders, including the Chief Minister, Union Home Minister, Vice President, and soon the Prime Minister, have visited the Kumbh, the real issue remains unresolved. Yadav reiterated his demand to deploy the Army for better management and expressed shock that, for the first time, saints have refused to participate in the sacred Shahi (Amrit) Snan.
Accusing the government of neglecting the safety of Hindu devotees, Yadav urged immediate action and transparency in handling the crisis. His remarks shift attention away from the budget, emphasizing that public safety must take priority.
