In a strong rebuttal to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's recent statements, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the CM of spreading misinformation regarding Waqf properties in the state.

Speaking at a rally, Owaisi remarked, "He is the Chief Minister of a big state of India. He said that Waqf will declare any property as Waqf. How is a property declared as Waqf? The property is declared as Waqf based on the report of the Survey Commissioner appointed by the state government... Now is he saying that the gazette notifications in UP are all false... He is completely lying. You want to destroy the property of Muslims. You want to create disputes of mosques and temples."
